If you are living in Singapore, the places where you can get ebooks are limited. There are not as many options available to Singapore as in the USA. Below are some places where you can find or buy ebooks.
The library is a good place to borrow ebooks. The digital catalogue is not as big as what you can find in the actual library but new books are constantly being added. If you are a Singaporean, you can borrow the ebooks for free. You will need Adobe Digital Editions to read the ebooks.

Books whose copyright have expired are available on the Gutenberg website. This means that the books are mostly classics and you will not be able to find recent books here.
The Internet Archive is another place where you can find free ebooks. It not only contain ebooks but also other digital collections like websites and music.

Singaporeans can now buy ebooks from the Google Play app store to read on their mobile devices. If you want to read on your ereader, the ebooks are also available to download in either epud or pdf format. Every month or so, StoryBundle offers a bundle which consists of around five indie books from the same genre. You choose how much to pay and you can decide how much goes to the authors, the website or even whether you want to donate a portion to charity. If you pay above a certain amount, you will get extra books included in your bundle.
