espressoLAB Singapore

I brought Sayang for brunch at espressoLAB Singapore, just like Mao Mao brought Redhead and I here a few weeks ago. Good things should be shared.

Sayang and I arrived an hour before the peak lunch hour. It was a good thing we were early because the place was totally packed during lunch.

We shared the eggs benedict set ($13.80) which was yummy. Two perfectly poached eggs rested on top of a thin slice of ham which rested on top of a slice of brioche bread. This was the first time I’ve eaten brioche bread and I really liked the eggy, buttery flavor.

We also ordered the smoked salmon set ($12) which was tasty and filling. I thought that the portions of smoked salmon were quite substantial.

The sets each came with a drink so both of us ordered a latte each. The coffee was as good as I remembered and the coffee art just as pretty. I felt that the picture on our coffees were rather whimsical.

There were no chocolate caramel tarts available so we shared a caramel mousse cake instead. It was quite nice and not overly sweet. There were different layers which gave the cake some texture and crunch.
