Sayang told me about a place called Creamier which supposedly makes good ice-cream. So we decided to check it out after work. The shop was located beneath a HDB block. While it wasn’t difficult to find, it did take us a while to locate it because we came from the wrong side and had to walk around to the other side of the block.
It seemed to be a popular place and was full of young people when we arrived. We decided to get waffles with ice-cream. There were some interesting ice-cream flavors available although not all that were listed on the website seemed to be available. As the waffles were made fresh, we were given a paper cup with a number on it to indicate our order.
Each order came with two waffles which was pretty filling. In hindsight, it might be better to for the two of us to share one plate and add on another scoop of ice-cream instead, making it one ice-cream to a waffle.
To go with my waffles, I chose sea salt gula meleka which had a robust sweetness tempered by the salt. Sayang had earl gray lavender which looked the same as my scoop except it was a lighter shade. The earl gray lavender ice-cream was light and refreshing with slight flowery overtones.
